**   Various Recent Results from 2018   **

Results for Central Illinois Crappie Club´s June 10th Club Tournament at Mill Creek Lake:
- For a new lake the club did not do bad. 15 boats entered the tournaments under sunny skies and a slight wind.
  Fish were caught in a range of situations, but mostly in submerged cover in depth of 6-14 feet.
- This lake was selected by the membership at our winter meeting and will be a first time for a club tournament.
 Area biologist Mike Mounce has indicated that very large crappie have been surveyed in the lake
 so it should be a very exciting competition.

 - 1st place went to John Carr/Roger Cox with 7.29 lbs
   - 2nd place went to Swan Shelby/Mike Hopkins with 6.48 lbs
    - 3rd place went to Bob Foran/Mike Chervinko with 4.81 lbs
     - 4th place went to Mike Bristle/Zach Hari with 4.24 lbs

 - - BIG FISH went to the team of John Carr/Roger Cox - 1.40 lbs

 "Tournament Director Bud York announced this would be his last tournament
   so the club is looking for volunteers for this position."

  Results for HOI Crappie Club tournament held on April 21st at Clinton Lake :
- Tim had this (in part) to share: The weather was awesome. The sun was out, the winds were light and the temps were up.
  For most, the fishing was about average. There were at least two other Crappie Tournaments on Shelbyville that day.

  - 1st Place: Bedon & Davis 7.46 lbs. (pictured on Left)
  - 2nd Place: Hanauer & Anderson 5.62 lbs. (pictured in Middle)
  - 3rd place: Cleland & Whitecotton 5.11 lbs. (pictured on Right)

  -- Big Fish: Bedon & Davis 1.48 lbs.

  Upcoming events: Thur May 3rd- HOI Crappie Club meeting Presley´s Outdoors in Bartonville.
  Next Tournament: Sat May 5th - HOI Crappie Club tournament- Spring Lake North.

Results for Spring Valley Walleye Club Illinois River Walleye Classic Tournament on April 7th
* The One day "Three Man" Tournament brought in:: 57 fish total / 122.41 lbs. = 2.15 lbs average
 - 1st place (for $2,240) went to Chris, Dawson & Cade Ploch with 5 fish at 14.84 lbs
   - 2nd place (for $1,240) went to Bruce & Wayne Merkel & Dave Hall with 5 fish at 14.35 lbs
    - 3rd place (for $600) went to Mark Meravy, Dave Zurawski & Terry Carr with 5 fish at 13.43 lbs
     - 4th place (for $400) went to Dave Gossar, Dirk Pagakis & Jay Walsh with 5 fish at 11.83 lbs
      -- Big fish pot = $700

Results for IMTT Jake Wolf Memorial Tournament at Spring Lake North - March 24th & 25th
* 5 fish were caught during a winter storm at Spring Lake North. 18 teams consisting of 34 entrants from
   IL, IN, MO, WI, MN and AZ braved the 25 - 30 mph ENE winds with rain, snow and sleet to chase Muskies.
 - 1st Place and BIG FISH went to Ray Cote´ of Brookfield IL (38.5) & Jake Brewer of Lombard IL
  - 2nd Place was the father/son team of Byron Gaddy (36.5) & William Gaddy of Bloomington IL
  - 3rd Place Brandon Schorle of Elgin IL (33) & Mike Bafia of Valparaiso IN
    - 4th Place was another father/son team of Kyle Hilger (31) of Hannibal MO & Randy Hilger of Lake St Louis MO
      Tony Szplit of Elk Grove Village caught a 30.5
  ** The IMTT thanks its tournament entrants who donated 900 nonperishable food items
      weighing over 400# to Midwest Food Bank of Peoria. Bob Taylor
